I have wanted to become a teacher since I was a young girl for many different reasons. I love to help people, I love children, I work hard, I feel like teaching is a rewarding job and I have a huge passion for the profession. I would always watch my teachers through the years and see what his or her responsibilities were in the classroom and I would admire everything he or she did. I have a passion in teaching people how to do things. I am definitely a people person and help anyone who is in need of help. I have a passion to volunteer with people in the community who cannot necessarily do everything in life individually. I have worked with people with disabilities over the past four years and have absolutely loved every minute of it. I have also volunteered in three different classrooms over the past four years and these experiences have secured my choice of becoming an elementary school teacher. Another passion I have is playing hockey and being a leader of the team. For five years of my hockey career I achieved a captain or assistant captain position because of my positive disposition and natural movements of a leader. I feel like being a leader helps everyone and helping people is something I love to do. All of my passion areas are quite relevant to teaching qualities and responsibilities and this part of the reason why I chose to go in this professional direction. I am truly looking forward to finding out what other passion areas I discover when I become a teacher.
